In an effort to make good on my promise to delve deeper, here is a very good explanation of the significance of the number 108. I hope to get some stuff up on Locke and Rousseau in the next couple of days.

Change of Strategy
July 27, 2006 by pythagoreanO.K.
It is apparent that this will be a low-traffic sort of place, and I’m a little tired of the way the codes are being handled. I have two problems in that regard. One is personal: I have to work during prime code-hunting hours. The second is a game-management problem. All the codes so far have been hidden in plain sight, and so the trick is to be the first to hit a public webpage after it is updated. Lots of clicking, not much thinking. It’s as though we’re on an easter egg hunt in which most people know where the eggs will be hidden, but not when they will be hidden. It’s a glorified race at this point. That’s not to say I’m quitting the game. It’s amusing and I love the show.
I’m thinking the next act will be a lot better, so what I’m doing is checking a couple of blogs for codes every few hours and spending my time hunting for small blogs to visit and communicate with. That seems more productive than driving web traffic for the people who already have it to no good purpose (lots of others have that covered already).
So many other people are doing up-to-the minute stuff that it’s a bit ridiculous for me to try and do it. I am definitely still participating, and still saying good things about the Experience, but I will probably put this site on cruise control for the remainder of this act and only update on weekends. Most of the content for ARG!!! from here on out will be devoted to ARG in general and cerebral analysis of the big picture.
If you’re looking for a site that can help you catch up quickly and has more frequent updates, and that strives to treat the Experience as reality rather than game, go to 4842. I’ll be helping out over there and spending most of my time seeking out the smaller and more interesting blogs. If you aren’t already aware, Yahoo! has an Experience group called The Namastae that you can join if you have an Yahoo! id. In my opinion, their trail, daily digest, and discussions are worth signing up for. BTW, you can find the premiere source for ARG news and discussion here, and a good introduction to the general ARG concept by a person named Brooke Thompson here. I’ll add them to the roll when I have a bit more time.
Namaste.
Up to 14 now
July 26, 2006 by pythagoreanThese two work:
gmx18bcj
XIGZ2Y10S2
And a bitchy observation to start the morning:
It kind of bites that, when I got off work yesterday, every code except 1 had been found. Then I look for that 1 (unsuccessfully) pretty much all evening and most of the night. Then I go to sleep for about 4 hours, and when I wake up, two more have been released and both have been found.
This code thing isn’t as cool as the first act was, but I’m hangin in. Hope it’s just a lull.
P.S.

Ideas
July 26, 2006 by pythagoreanWhen you go to wiki and put in catseye as it’s been spelled all night on the internet, you get the comic book character. So, perhaps the key to unlocking the next one is to use some combination of susan smith/catseye.
Or perhaps the glyph is hidden in the image. Too bad I don’t have a copy of photoshop.
Dig!!!!
July 26, 2006 by pythagoreanGo to sublymonal and type in catseye as the password. Just do it.
This is too big for one person
July 26, 2006 by pythagoreanStill no luck on 12. I think it’s either in a commercial, at Compass, at SubLymonal, or more likely, hidden in some image of the Black Rock (because I read somewhere that the Magnus-Alvar connection was confirmed today). That’s just my intuition and the lateness of the hour talking. MaybeWally Bole will give us a clue.

Or post a comment here.
Probably the last post for the night unless I turn something up.
Silly me.
July 26, 2006 by pythagoreanUpdate: LnF is numbering their codes in such a way as to be missing #10. So they have 11 like everyone else, (except the mysterious Catseye.) Silly me.
FIVE acts?
July 26, 2006 by pythagoreanLnF says so.
Still poking around over their trying to find all the codes they’ve listed.
